I've been practicing digital art for years now and I am always trying to add new styles to my arsenal. I honestly don't know what "my style" really is anymore. I've made art for tarot cards, fairy tales, schematic illustrations for books, and more!
Here is a selection of different artworks in the varying styles I've tried to learn:
Diversify
Diversify is a simple little card game I've designed and illustrated wherein players create their own ecosystems.
You start of placing plants into your biomes, from which you can build up into critters and larger animals. Create foodwebs that mimic real life, all while learning about creatures you probably never heard of! Have your grass provide food for rabbits, which in turn get hunted on by larger predators, or place down invasive species to topple your opponent's ecosystems. How will bees survive when the flowers disappear?
Dungeon Mayhem
Dungeon Mayhem is a card game that I did not design. Originally made by Wizards of the Coast, I've simply redrawn and redesigned a total of seven decks for the game so I could play with my own friends as the lead characters.
Godhood
Godhood is still a work in progress. It's meant to become a board game wherein players start out as tribal gods and try to build out a lasting and complex religion. Your currency and "health points" are your followers, for what is a god without followers? Try to steal the devotees of other gods by blessing crops or raining down fish to the hungry masses, or smiting anyone who refuses to heed your commandments.
I love pixel art. Very much so. I've been animating for a while now and I still love it.
Games with pixel art just have a spirit other games do not. A nostalgic feeling that shows your game is meant to be fun above all and not a means of money-making, like games felt when I was a child.
Most of these animations come from the dungeon crawler game my friends and I are working on.
In my years as an artist, I have often stepped outside of my comfort zone.
Here is a selection of experimentations both successful and otherwise.
