Bio: Born in the northern farmlands of the Netherlands, I grew up in relative solitude among the fields and animals.

In my solemnity, I  have gained a great love for nature, mythology, philosophy and history, and I draw my inspiration mainly from these four sources.

About Me

In short, I am calm, reserved and contemplative. I am introverted, but I am not shy by any means. My easy-going nature might be mistaken for laziness, and so might my hours of quiet introspection, but I have learnt over the years studying game design and art, that I have no trouble coughing up discipline if the work is making games, even if my heart is not in the project.

I have for years been living a happy life and managed with my luck to get through my study without any shred of unnecessary stress, since I'm typically pretty relaxed.

I don't drink. I don't do drugs. I don't smoke, and I do not enjoy large parties. I have always been the responsible adult, but there is no better way to spend your time talking and playing (board) games with friends.

When it comes to games, I adore RPGs and the great fantasy worlds. I've since played a lot of World of Warcraft, Skyrim, Baldur's Gate 3. Of course also Civilization VI, Minecraft, et cetera. The fun comes from building something that lasts. Something social, personal or otherwise simply beautiful.
I've also made small project in Game Maker, Unity and RPGMaker with friends in my free time. Whether I play or make games, the real fun is in making something and seeing it develop over time.

Although I am against ambition in most of its forms, I do have three personal goals in life. These included the understanding of wisdom and beauty, and living without being a detriment to others.

These are of course wholly uninteresting to anyone potentially wanting to hire me, but they are large part of why I do what I do. Self-improvement is a key aspect of my life, whether it be career-wise or more personal.

Career Ambitions

Pixel Art Games
I've always liked pixel art games, especially RPGs. So, I've always wanted to work on a proper RPG game with pixel art. The style gives such a good feel for what I like games so much for; they are plain and simply good fun and the pixel art style embodies some childlike innocence that I really gravitate towards.

I would love to work on a pixel art game as an animator, character artist or effects/VFX animator. I have animated spell effects in my free time and pixel art has such a beautiful simplicity to it that leaves just enough to the player's imagination.

Fantasy
There are some IPs and worlds I would also love to work on; I'm a great fan of Tolkien's legendarium, as well as something related to Greek or Norse mythology. Basically, anything fantasy would be a treat to work on.
I know there are a great many fantasy games out there already, but I've adored so many of them that I would at least once get a chance to get a stab at the genre myself.
