Classroom rules have been developed with the understanding of the level of the students. The rules in my classroom are posted using picture symbols, as this is the method the majority of my students use for communication purposes. Good behavior is rewarded with praise and sometimes a special activity. Positive behaviors are always reinforced! 

Morning Routine:

• Come in quietly in the classroom -Rm 162

• Unpack

• Take out and turn in their homework folder 

• Breakfast 

• Clean up / Bathroom Break

• Return to their desk for morning work

Behavior Management System:

We will use "Class Dojo's" point system in our class to reward students displaying the desired behavior. If they are working hard at:

• following teacher's directions

• staying in their assigned area

• staying on task

• waiting and not yelling when frustrated

Students may earn extra points on Friday during the 'Kahoot' game and they may redeem the points from the 'Class Dojo' to shop any items from Mr. Don's Store.   

Reward System:

• Students are rewarded for positive behavior through positive notes home, stickers, verbal praise, positive phone calls home, certificates, ribbons.

• At the end of the week if a student has not clipped down at all, then he/she will be able to pick from the treasure box.
