Last concert series, October 7, 9, and 11: In October 2025, a variety of guitar solo music, guitar with flute, and a guitar ensemble was performed by James Reid, Ryan Nitz, and Diana Schaible. In 2025, Idaho Guitar Society collaborated with other nonprofits. Moscow shared benefits with Habitats for Humanity.
Friday, June 7, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. - Daniel Pinilla and James Reid were joined by Leonard Garrison on flute and Kate Skinner on piano. They performed in the Lecompte auditorium of the 1912 Center in Moscow, ID. Performances included a program of all original works and the Grand duo Concertante, Op. 52 by Mauro Giuliani.
The events on September 24, 26, and 28 in 2024 included a variety of music, including a Flamenco concert. An ensemble workshop and a Flamenco workshop were provided in Idaho Falls.
Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. - The Lionel Hampton Electric Guitar Ensemble performed at the University of Idaho's Haddock Performance Hall. The program consisted of jazz standards arranged for five electric guitars and a rhythm section, and original compositions written by Davy Mooney, Fred Hamilton, Daniel Pinilla, and students Adrian Crookston and Evan Lindemood.
On April 5-7, 2024, the Northwest Guitar Festival 2024 edition took place at Yakima Valley College. In addition to workshops and concerts as well as a small vendor fair there were also adult and youth competitions. Guest performers this year included Mario Diaz of Portland, Cameron O'Connor of Corvallis, and James Reid of Moscow, ID.
There were nine participants from the region in the adult competition as well as four competitors in the youth competition. Workshops were offered by Alexander Dunn, Cameron O'Connor, and Mario Diaz and there was a special lecture on improvising 19th century literature presented by Neill Caulkins.
Next year's festival will take place in Seattle.
