Larry Almeida, classical Guitarist and vocalist, performed a benefit recital for the Idaho Guitar Society.
A benefit recital for the Idaho Guitar Society was held on Thursday, May 14, 2026. Larry Almeida performed at the Lecompte Auditorium at 1912 Center in Moscow, Idaho.
Larry has performed throughout the U.S., in Canada, and Germany. This program marks 250 years since the Declaration of Independence with America music from the 19th to the 21st centuries. Highlights include guitar solos by Larry Alan Smith and James Reid, and songs by Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Foster, plus the world premiere of Ronald Pearl's "Sara's Winter," featuring Sara Teasdale's poetry.
His program evinced an earnest care for new music ... he played with meticulous care ... a sound command of technique.
