Signer Awareness & Willingness
To complete a notarization, the signer must:
Be alert, aware, and able to communicate
Appear willing and not pressured
Be able to sign or make a mark
If the signer is confused, disoriented, or unable to communicate clearly, I cannot proceed. This protects the signer and ensures the document remains legally valid.
For Skilled Nursing Facilities: An Ombudsman must be present for Health Care POA or AHCD notarizations. Please confirm availability before scheduling.
