Hello! My name is Angelina Lanza (she/her). I’m an English major with a minor in Philosophy at Kean University, and I’ve been reading and writing for as long as I can remember. Born and raised on the east coast, I dream of traveling to the many places I’ve first discovered through books.
Literature is my favorite form of art because I believe being well-read is the key to understanding the world in its fullest depth. Philosophy sharpens that pursuit, giving me new ways to question, reflect, and connect ideas across time.
I created Ideas & Ink as a home for my essays, reflections, and creative works—a space for you to explore my thoughts and, hopefully, spark some of your own. All works here are written by me unless otherwise noted. Within these pages, you’ll find commentary on art, literary and philosophical essays, discussions of current events, and an advice column where you can ask for guidance or share your own.
You’ll also find links (on the Support & Solidarity page) to nonprofit organizations if you'd like to help support those in need, from families in Gaza to Indigenous tribes of the Amazon.
Reading nurtures empathy, strengthens critical thinking, and offers comfort in difficult times. My hope is that Ideas & Ink can be more than a collection of words—it can be a place of connection, curiosity, and hope.
