When installing Cura, you will be prompted to add a printer (or, if you already have Cura installed, you can add additional models by going to Settings > Printer > Add Printer...).
On the Add Printer pop-up screen, select Ultimaker Printer.
Next, click on Add Local Printer, in the lower right-hand corner of the pop-up screen.
Then click on the bar labeled Add a non-networked printer.
Select Ultimaker 2+ Connect and click Add.

Yes! It is possible to pause a print on the Idea Lab's 3D printers, change the filament spool, then resume the print.
This means you can have multiple coloured layers along the z-axis (base to top). Unfortunately, you can't change the colour of specific areas of a print (e.g fingernails on a hand).Â
Please note that you will need to manually pause the print yourself. If you intend to do this during a booking, you will need to be present for the exact moment you would like to change colours, this will not be carried out by Idea Lab staff. However, staff can assist with the changing of the filament spool.
It is possible to slice a print for our Prusa 3D printer in Cura. However, we tend to get better results using Prusa's own software, PrusaSlicer (also free!).
Once the software is installed, you will prompted to add a printer and filament profiles.
To add our printer, select Prusa i3 MK3S, 0.4mm nozzle. For filament, add Generic PLA:
