School
overview
The Rosario Livatino Comprehensive Institute is the main public educational institution in the town of Ficarazzi, in the province of Palermo.
Covering the entire first cycle of education and ensuring continuity in students’ learning paths, it includes:
Nursery school (3-6 years);
Primary school (6-11 years);
Lower secondary school (11-14 years).
The school is named after Rosario Livatino, an Italian magistrate and a symbol of legality, justice and civic responsibility. His example strongly inspires the educational mission of the institute, which aims to educate students not only academically, but also ethically and socially.
According to the Piano Triennale dell’Offerta Formativa (PTOF), the institute promotes an inclusive, student-centered education, focused on the development of key competences, critical thinking and personal growth. Great attention is given to the individual needs of students, valuing diversity and encouraging full participation in school life.
The educational offer includes:
solid acquisition of basic skills (literacy, numeracy and scientific knowledge);
development of digital, social and civic competences;
promotion of legality, respect for rules and active citizenship;
enhancement of creativity through laboratory activities, projects and interdisciplinary learning.
The institute is deeply connected to the local community and the territory of Ficarazzi. Through educational projects, cultural initiatives and collaborations with local institutions, the school encourages students to become responsible citizens, aware of their cultural heritage and ready to contribute positively to society.
In line with its educational values, the Rosario Livatino Comprehensive Institute represents a place where knowledge, inclusion and civic education come together to support the harmonious growth of every student.
