Our Teachers
Hello! My name is Emily Nelsen, and I am so excited to be joining this wonderful start-up school community and to have the opportunity to learn and grow alongside your children this year.
I have been teaching in a variety of classroom settings for over six years, including four years with two different homeschool groups. These experiences have strengthened my love for teaching and have shown me the joy that comes from helping students discover their abilities and develop a lifelong love of learning.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Utah State University with a Mathematics Endorsement. I also earned a degree in Science from the College of Eastern Utah, where I was honored to be named the Elementary Education Department's Student of the Year.
I believe children learn best when they are actively engaged. My classroom is built around hands-on learning, movement, collaboration, and meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. I strive to create a classroom where students feel safe to ask questions, work together, and celebrate each other's successes.
When I'm not teaching, I love spending time with my husband and our four fantastically wonderful children. We enjoy exploring the outdoors together, especially visiting national parks and discovering new places in nature. At home, you'll often find me gardening—or even happily pulling weeds! Anything that gets me outside in the sunshine is a perfect day. I also love baking (especially desserts, even though salty snacks are still my favorite to eat!), watching musicals, and playing basketball or board games.
I feel incredibly grateful to be part of this new school community and can't wait to get to know each of your children. I look forward to partnering with your family to make this an exciting, memorable, and successful school year!
Sarah Gregory,
I’m so excited to be part of the iCreate community! As both a teacher and a homeschool mom, I believe learning should spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and help children build confidence. Over the past 13 years, I’ve taught in preschool & elementary classrooms, tutored college students, and homeschooled my own children. Each experience has strengthened my love for hands-on, curiosity-led education.
Just as important to me is creating a classroom that feels like family—a place where every child feels safe, valued, supported, and excited to learn. I believe strong relationships are the foundation for meaningful learning, and I love partnering with families to help children grow both academically and personally.
I studied Deaf Education at Utah State University and have been signing American Sign Language for over 22 years. I’m passionate about ASL, Deaf culture, and creating an inclusive environment where every child feels seen, valued, and capable.
When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me spending time with my husband, my best friend, & our four amazing kids here in Grantsville. We love camping, trying new things, learning together, and making memories as a family.
For years, I’ve dreamed of seeing a microschool become part of the Tooele Valley community, so joining iCreate truly feels like a dream come true. I’m so grateful to be part of this journey, and I can’t wait to get to know your children, connect with families, and continue growing the homeschool community here in Tooele Valley.
I’m looking forward to a year filled with curiosity, creativity, growth, & lots of joyful learning together!
Hi, I'm Brittney Allred and I'm so happy to be a part of the iCreate team. I love watching students catch the spark of joyful learning as they engage their curiosity with rich, hands-on experiences.
I had the wonderful experience of teaching mixed age classes alongside inspiring mentors at a local homeschool academy as well as homeschooling my own children through elementary school. I studied childhood education and employed methods inspired by A Thomas Jefferson Education, Well Educated Heart, and Maria Montessori. I believe the goal of education is character development through educating the heart and the mind. I have witnessed immense growth as students gain confidence in their own abilities when given the opportunity to learn how to learn.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my three wonderful children. We love reading, music, games, and swimming. We also have fun cooking together and learning about other places and cultures.
I am excited to help build an environment where learners can unlock their curiosity and develop confidence through creative achievement at iCreate!
