Kunpeng Yao (Member, IEEE) received a B.Sc. degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), China, in 2013; the M.Sc. degree from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Munich, Germany, in 2017; and his Ph.D. degree in Robotics, Control, and Intelligent Systems from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2021. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Newman Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. His primary research interests include robotic grasping and manipulation, with a particular emphasis on enhancing the dexterity of robotic systems.

Miao Li (Senior Member, IEEE) received his BSc and MSc from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, in 2008 and 2011 respectively. He obtained his PhD in Robotics and Intelligent Systems at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, in 2016. Since December 2016, he has been with Wuhan University, where he is currently an associate professor. His research interests include robotics, machine learning, and applied nonlinear control, which encompasses robot learning, robot object grasping and manipulation, human-robot interaction, robotic hand and tactile sensing, and neuroscience.

Weiwei Wan (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in robotics from the Department of Mechano-Informatics, The University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, in 2013. From 2013 to 2015, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher with Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, USA, under the support of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). From 2015 to 2017, he was a tenure-track Research Scientist with the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Tsukuba, Japan. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University, Toyonaka, Japan. His research interests include robotic manipulation and smart manufacturing.

Aude Billard (Fellow, IEEE) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in physics from the Swiss Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland, in 1994 and 1995, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in artificial intelligence from the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, U.K., in 1998. She is a Full Professor and the Head of the LASA Laboratory, School of Engineering, EPFL. Her research spans the fields of machine learning and robotics with a particular emphasis on learning from sparse data and performing fast and robust retrieval. Prof. Billard was the recipient of the IEEE-RAS Best Reviewer Award and IEEE-RAS Distinguished Service Award. Her research received the Best Paper Awards from the IEEE Transactions on Robotics, RSS, ICRA, and IROS. She is the President of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) and a former IEEE RAS Vice-President of publication activities.
