During a poster presentation you will get the opportunity to shortly present the headlines of your research and afterwards discuss your work with members of the audience.
To prepare for a poster presentation create a poster (A1 or A0 format). Your poster should contain the following sections: background, research question, method, results, conclusions, take-home messages, and keywords. Try to make the poster clear, structured, concise, and attractive. Avoid long texts and use diagrams, graphs, and/or tables to visualize your information effectively.
Presenters are asked to introduce their poster during a 3 to 5 minute pitch. After this short presentation the audience will roam around the room to discuss the posters the presenter. The discussant or chair of the session will discuss both content and lay-out of the poster. With regard to the lay-out, the following points can be discussed:
Duration and set up of a poster session
During the ICO Spring School, the posters will be grouped into themes. Per session a maximum of 6 posters will be presented and discussed. A session takes 60 minutes starting with an introductory pitch of max. 5 minutes of each poster. An ICO staff or Post Doc Member will chair each session.
Send in your paper and abstract before 10 February, using the submission form.
If you wish to present a poster at the NSS2019, please send your paper (max. 1000 words in APA style, including references, in Word or PDF format) and a short abstract (max. 300 words). We will use your abstract to inform the Spring School-attendants about your presentation.
Use the submission form to enclose the document. Name your document "Last name"_"presentation type", like "VanDijk_Poster.pdf".
We will inform you about your chair/discussant in due time.
