The theme, “Glocalizing Nature Conservation for a Future-Proofed Environment,” deals with addressing global environmental issues through local practices. It connects global problems to local solutions as impacts of these problems are experienced by local communities. Initiatives related to local practices such as the localization of risk management of seawater rise, plastic-on-seas management, education for sustainable development, and the like can be potentially shared in the conference.
The conference aims to create a venue for the exchanges, academic or otherwise, of information, experiences, practices, issues, and challenges of glocalizing initiatives that address pressing global problems. It also aims to provide global researchers, academicians, nature conservation practitioners, policymakers, local executives, industries, and communities the space for connecting their interests, thrusts, programs, or products useful in the glocalization movement.
