Location

The university is situated between the meeting point of Vindhya, Satpura Ranges and Mekal Hills and witness of the origin of three rivers, Narmada, Sone and Johila. The University is located at Lalpur, which is 25kms away to the west of nearest Railway Station “Pendra Road Station (Chhatisgarh)” and 20kms away to the east of the Holy town of Amarkantak. The university will make arrangement to pick you up and drop to these two places according to your convenience. If you are travelling from the different parts of the country, please try to book you ticket accordingly:

Bus Service

There are frequent bus services from Shahdol, Dindori, Anuppur, Jabalpur (MP) to reach either university or Amarkantak. There are also Bus services from Bilaspur and Raipur.

Train Service

Pendra Raod Railway Station falls between Katni-Bilaspur track of South-West Central Railway. Book your ticket accordingly.

There are plenty of trains to Bilaspur from Nagpur and then there are a lot of train services including Passenger Trains from Bilaspur to Pendra Road

There are many trains from Katni to Pendra Road

There are frequent train from Raipur to Pendra Road via Bilaspur.

The students/participants are advised to book their train ticket accordingly so that they could reach to Pendra Road Railway Station. We will provide local transport from Pendra Road Railway Station or Amarkantak Bus Stand.

Please note there is no direct train link to Amarkantak

The nearest airports to reach the university are

Jabalpur

If you are travelling by air please book your ticket accordingly for either Raipur or Jabalpur. These airports are well connected to the rest of India. These two cities are also connected with train to reach Pendra Road Railway Station.
