ICO's research project presentations are an important part of the ICO Spring School. All attending PhD candidates will give a presentation on their thesis project. Afterwards, a discussion will be started by the discussant(s) or the chair. This interaction with senior experts makes the Spring School an interesting meeting with lively discussions that often provide PhD students with fruitful ideas and new inspiration for their research. All presenters of a paper presentation will be appointed to act as a junior discussant for one of the other paper presentations. This makes it an inspiring opportunity for PhD members get involved in the review process.
ICO PhD members are formally required to give a presentation on the Spring School, either in a Junior Presentation (recommended for 2nd year or less experienced PhD students) or in a Senior Presentation (recommended for 3rd year or more experienced PhD students).
The Junior Presentation can be either a Poster Presentation, or a Round Table Presentation
The Senior Presentation is a Paper Presentation.
Presentations are grouped into sessions by ICO theme as much as possible and there will be ample opportunity for discussion. It is these discussions that make the Spring School an interesting and informative happening for the presenters as well as their audience.
All presentations and discussions will be in English.
For all presentation sessions, it is required to send in a paper and an abstract before 11 February 2022, using the submission form. All papers will be accepted automatically. More information on how to prepare can be found on the pages "Paper presentation", "Poster presentation" and "Round Table presentation" .
