Remote Strategies

Pear Deck

This Google Extension is only needed to be downloaded by the teacher and engages all students immediately. It provides every student with the presentation on their device. It is especially helpful for K-3 teachers because it allows for students to draw on their screen with a finger or mouse. The platform comes with pre-created templates that are easy to embed into presentations through both the Google and Microsoft platforms. Students engage and interact with the teacher in real-time, or asynchronously. In a survey of over 1,000 teachers, 90% agreed that Pear Deck is an effective and essential tool for remote teaching.
