Creating Problem Solving with Ezra Jack Keats: This link takes you to a unit on the ReadWriteThink website. This interactive unit focuses on problem-solution through multiple read alouds from the author Ezra Jack Keats. As a culminating project, students choose their own characters, define a problem and a solution appropriate for their characters, and then write their own problem-solving stories.
Story Map Interactive: This link takes you to the Story Map Interactive page on the ReadWriteThink website. The Story Map interactive includes a set of graphic organizers designed to assist teachers and students in prewriting and postreading activities.
Magnetic Poetry Kit: This tool offers a selection of words and a blank space where students can arrange them to create poetry. If the child gets stuck, then they can ask for new words to be added in the list. The final piece of poetry can be shared via email!
