It all began in 2020 with the creation of the International Conference: Multidisciplinary Aspects in Mathematics and its Applications (ICMAM) at the Universidad del Valle, in Cali-Colombia. This conference brought together mathematicians across diverse fields, fostering collaboration and sharing groundbreaking research. By 2022, the conference had grown significantly, drawing an expansive community of mathematicians from Latin America and beyond. From this success, ICMAM Latin America (International Community of Mathematicians from Latin America) was born—a thriving community dedicated to advancing mathematics in the region.
ICMAM Latin America is an inclusive organization where every mathematician can join for free. Our mission goes beyond fostering a strong network; we are committed to highlighting the achievements of women mathematicians in the region, amplifying their voices and contributions to the field. Additionally, we work tirelessly to promote the work of young mathematicians and established researchers, providing a platform for their contributions through our activities, conferences, and publication opportunities.
Today, ICMAM Latin America stands as a hub for mathematical innovation and collaboration, proudly showcasing the talent and potential of Latin America’s mathematical community.
