We particularly welcome any study that fits the theme of ICKL 2023 -- empirical approaches to Korean language and linguistics, whether it be corpus-based, experimental, or computational. We also accept abstracts for on-going research as long as they clearly state research questions/hypotheses, approaches, methods, data and expected results. In addition, we encourage student researchers to submit their work.
Presenters will be encouraged to submit their work for consideration to Korean Linguistics (https://benjamins.com/catalog/kl), the journal of ICKL publishing high quality and state-of-the-art research in Korean linguistics.
Guidelines for abstract submission
Abstracts must be submitted electronically to EasyChair.
Abstracts should conform to the following format requirements:
Written in English;
Single-spaced, 1-inch margins all around, Times New Roman 12-point font;
Abstract title visible (preferably centred at top of page, in bold, in sentence case);
Main text must be 500 words or less (excluding references, tables/figures, and/or data; please include a word count in the document);
Document must be two pages or less (examples, tables, figures, and/or references may be on a second page);
Fully anonymous: authors’ names, affiliations, or pictures should not be indicated anywhere in the document
Figure captions and table legends (preferably in the same font as the main text) should not contain excessive amounts of substantial text (i.e., should not be used to circumvent the length limit on the main text)
Each author may submit a maximum of one single-authored paper and one first-authored paper (or two first-authored papers), regardless of whether they are intended for the paper or poster session. It is, however, possible to be a co-author of more than two submitted papers. Posters will be allocated to dedicated, timetabled sessions, and will be thematically organised in terms of time and space of display.
The submission period was closed, and decisions were made/announced in late February.
