The industrial revolution back in 18th century gave the impetus to the innovation and invention in the several parts of the world. Since then, the evolution of ideas and creativity are boosting industries developing a variety of products and services. This stimulated in generating millions of jobs every year. In order to increase the efficiency of processes, reduce the cost of products, sustain as well as grow in the market, complete automation of systems is becoming popular. With the advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), the industrial systems are becoming more efficient, reliable and safer. AI tools and techniques have demonstrated their usability and effectiveness in almost all kinds of industrial processes and systems. With the proven capabilities of AI & ML, there is a high possibility that the industrial systems, processes and infrastructure can be made completely autonomous involving sustainable, maintainable, long lasting, energy efficient and safer. Several developed and developing countries in the world such as the USA, UK, Singapore, Japan, Germany have taken lead in developing intelligent industrial systems. The areas where the potential of AI & ML becoming instrumental are IoT, control systems, robotics, energy efficiency and facility layout and management, waste management and supply chain, fleet management etc.
With the motive to bring researchers, academicians, scholars and industry practitioners, Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Dr Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune (MITWPU) organizes 4th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Applications 2025 (ICISA 2025) with a focus on ‘Intelligent Systems for Sustainable Industrial Infrastructure’. The conference is scheduled to be held (in hybrid mode) on April 24 & 25, 2025.
The conference proceedings aim to publish novel and modified intelligent systems for Sustainable Industrial Infrastructure involving the areas listed (not limited to) below.

Topic: The role of Neural Networks and Finite Element Analysis in retrofitting concrete structures
Mandar S Sapre holds a Ph.D. in the Application of Optimization Techniques in Mesh Smoothing from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Symbiosis International (Deemed University). He received his Master of Technology in CAD/CAM from Symbiosis Institute of Technology and his Bachelor of Engineering in Production Engineering from Mumbai University. Mandar was an Assistant Professor at Symbiosis Institute of Technology for eleven years. Before that, he taught Mathematics at Career Forum Ltd. for six years. Currently, he is working as a Research Assistant Professor at the Institute of Artificial Intelligence, MIT World Peace University, starting in December 2024. His research interests include Engineering Mathematics, Finite Element Analysis, Numerical Methods, Optimization Techniques, Machine Learning, Cohort Intelligence, Hybrid Metaheuristics, Operation Research, Application Development, and Programming. He has 22 publications in peer-reviewed journals, conferences, and chapters. He has so far guided 10 masters and over 90 UG students. He is a regular reviewer of different Elsevier journals. Mandar has also served as session chair for a few international conferences. He is an IEEE Senior Member. Apart from academics, Mandar enjoys reading novels and listening to and singing Indianmusic. He loves to travel and experience different cultures.

Dr Subhrajit Dutta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at National Institute of Technology Silchar, India. In addition to his service at NIT Silchar, he was also an external/invited researcher in the Department of Civil Engineering (Structural Division), Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto, Portugal. He was working as a visiting professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Aalto University, Finland. Dr Dutta completed his PhD. in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, and received his Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil Engineering from National Institute of Technology Silchar. His research, teaching and consulting work focuses on thematic areas of Reliability, Risk and Resilience Engineering and Management of Structure and Infrastructure Systems. He has received prestigious National/International research grants, awards and fellowships from organizations, like IEEE, CDRI, APNIC, DST etc. He has published one textbook, three edited books, and more than 100 research articles till date. Dr Dutta is the Associate Editor of ASCE Journal of Structural Design and Construction Practice, and also working in the editorial board of many reputed journals and book series in the areas of structure and infrastructure engineering.
