The Institute of AI, MITWPU, Pune, India, is organizing the '2nd Global Interdisciplinary AI Student Competition 2026' (GI-AI-SC 2026) with the theme of 'Mechanical Tools Design using Snail Homing and Mating Search (SHMS) Algorithm'.
Mode of Competition: Online
Eligible Participants: Students Worldwide team of (maximum 4) with one faculty member.
Registration: Free
Registration Deadline: March 23, 2026 March 24, 2026 (5:00 PM)
Competition will be a Month long: March 25-April 25, 2026.
Submission of program code, solutions, etc.: April 25, 2026
Evaluation and results announcement: April 30, 2026

Solution Submission Procedure
The participants must provide the detailed code and problem formulation with solution in separate files.
File 1: Complete code (single .pdf)
Create sections in the code and use comments to explain the section
The output in the code must be well-framed
Proper units must be mentioned in the output wherever necessary
The plots must be labelled completely
File 2: Problem formulation with solution
Following points must be provided (single .pdf).
Problem definition as an optimization problem
All the assumptions made while defining the problem
Variable definitions along with the bounds
Well defined Objective Function
Define the Constraints (if necessary)
The optimization algorithm used
Modifications required in the algorithm to make it suitable for the given problem
Flowchart for the methodology
Convergence plots
Any other plots deemed necessary
Programming language used
Code Runtime
Signify the importance of the output
