PIOT Solutions Private Limited ("we," "our," or "us") operates the iCharge24x7 mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
We collect several different types of information to provide and improve our Service to you.
While using our App, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including:
Identity Data: Full name, email address, phone number.
Vehicle Data: Vehicle Registration Number, EV model, and brand (used to filter compatible chargers).
To provide the core functionality of finding nearby charging stations, navigation, and initiating charging sessions, we may collect information about your precise location.
Foreground Location: We collect your location while the app is open to show chargers near you.
Background Location: We do NOT collect location in the background.
We process payment information to facilitate charging sessions.
Payment Gateways: We use third-party services (e.g., Razorpay) for payment processing. We do not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy.
In compliance with the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP), when you initiate a charge, we collect and transmit technical data related to the session:
Start/Stop times
Energy consumption (kWh)
Meter values
Charging costs
We use the collected data for various purposes:
To provide and maintain the Service: Allowing you to locate chargers and start sessions.
To process payments: Billing you for the electricity consumed.
To communicate with Charging Stations: We transmit necessary identification tags (ID Tokens) to Charge Point Operators (CPOs) via OCPP to authorize your session.
To notify you: Sending alerts about charging status (e.g., "Charging Complete") or account updates.
Customer Support: To resolve technical issues with charging hardware.
We may share your information in the following situations:
Charge Point Operators (CPOs): We share session-specific data with the operators of the physical charging stations you use, strictly for the purpose of authorizing the session and billing.
Service Providers: We may employ third-party companies to facilitate our Service (e.g., hosting, analytics, payment gateways).
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
We value your trust in providing us your Personal Data. We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption (SSL/TLS) for all data in transit between your app, our servers, and the charging stations (OCPP Secure). However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
In compliance with Google Play User Data policies, you have the right to:
Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
Deletion (Right to be Forgotten): You can request that we delete your account and associated data.
How to Delete Your Data:
In-App: Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account.
Web Request: If you cannot access the app, you may request deletion by emailing us at cmsadmin@piotsolutions.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request". We will process this request within 7 working days.
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
