An interior view of Hannesarholt
Hannesarholt is the former residence of Icelandic politician and poet Hannes Hafstein (1861-1922). The house was built in 1915, only four years after the University of Iceland was founded in 1911. Today the house is a cultural center in the heart of Reykjavík.
