Effective Date: September 18, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Ice Labs ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information from and about you when you use our virtual reality games ("the Games"), available on the Meta Horizon Store and related Meta Platforms Technologies. This policy applies to all games published by Ice Labs.
Your use of our Games is also subject to the Meta Supplemental Terms of Service and Supplemental Meta Platforms Technologies Privacy Policy, which you should review.
We collect information to provide and improve our Games' functionality, to personalize your experience, and for other purposes described below. The types of data we collect across our portfolio include:
A. Information Provided by You:
Meta Horizon Profile Information: We access and collect your Meta Horizon Profile information, which may include your profile name, username, profile picture, and avatar. This is necessary to display your identity within our games and to enable multiplayer functionality.
In-Game Profile and Activity Data: When you play our Games, we collect information you provide directly, such as your in-game profile name, achievements, high scores, and interactions with other users.
Communications: If you communicate with us, we will collect the content of your communications and any contact information you provide.
B. Information Collected Automatically:
Device and Usage Data: We collect information about how you access and use our Games, including your in-game activity, the features you use, and the duration and frequency of your sessions. We also collect device-specific information, such as the type of device you are using, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
VR-Specific Data: Depending on the features of our Games and your device's capabilities, with your explicit permission, we may collect data generated from your use of the VR hardware, such as:
Movement Data: Data related to the position and orientation of your headset and controllers. This is essential for rendering your movements and interactions within our games.
Eye-Tracking Data: If you use a Meta Quest Pro and enable eye-tracking, some of our games may access abstracted gaze data to animate your avatar's eye movements or to enable eye-based interactions. Raw image data is not collected or shared.
Natural Facial Expressions: If you use a Meta Quest Pro and enable Natural Facial Expressions, some of our games may access data about your facial expressions to animate your avatar. Raw image data is not collected or shared.
Spatial Data: If our games use mixed reality features, we may, with your permission, collect data about the dimensions of your physical space to enable virtual objects to interact with your real environment.
Audio Data: If a game includes voice chat or microphone functionality, we may process audio data for communication purposes. We do not store or record these conversations unless it is necessary for a specific feature you have enabled (e.g., a "save a clip" feature) or as required for security and integrity purposes (e.g., to investigate abuse reports).
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To provide and operate the Games and their features.
To personalize your experience, such as by displaying your avatar and progress.
To enable multiplayer functionality and social interactions within the Games.
To analyze and understand how the Games are used, allowing us to improve their performance and features.
To communicate with you, respond to your inquiries, and provide customer support.
To ensure the security and integrity of the Games and to prevent fraud and harmful conduct.
To comply with legal obligations and to enforce our terms and policies.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share the information we collect with the following parties:
With Other Users: In a multiplayer or social setting, other users may be able to see your Meta Horizon Profile information (e.g., username, avatar) and your in-game activity. Your voice may also be audible to other users in voice-enabled spaces.
With Service Providers: We work with third-party service providers who assist us in operating our Games. These may include hosting providers, analytics services, or customer support platforms. These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations and use your data only to perform services on our behalf.
With Third-Party Apps or Services: If you link your game account with a third-party service, we will share information with that service as requested or authorized by you. The data shared will be subject to the third party's privacy policy.
For Legal Reasons: We may share your information if we believe it is necessary to comply with a legal process, respond to a valid government request, protect our rights or property, or prevent harm to ourselves or others.
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Games and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We will also retain data as required by law or for a reasonable period to enforce our policies, resolve disputes, and protect our legal interests.
You have certain rights regarding your personal data. Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR in Europe, CCPA in California), these rights may include:
