Ingredients
Our cakes, cupcakes, cookies and sweet treats are freshly baked to order and include dairy, gluten, lupin and occasionally nut products. Dietary-free cakes are available, but please note that our kitchen is generally used to prepare foods that contain these ingredients. Please discuss any dietary requirements with us before ordering.
Quantities
Cupcakes are baked in batches of 6 or multiples thereof. Orders can be accepted for mixed flavours in a standard box of 12, with the minimum number of any flavour being 6.
Some exceptions apply for specifically promoted items. Eg Cupcake Bouquets with 7 cupcakes etc.
Cookies have a minimum order quantity of 6 and are available in any amount thereafter. Standard flavour is vanilla with the exception of Holiday Spice being available during the Christmas season.
Cakesicles have a minimum order quantity of 6 and are available in a number of flavours including vanilla, chocolate, lemon, raspberry, red velvet and more on request.
Cake Pops have a minimum order quantity of 12 and are available in a number of flavours including vanilla, chocolate, lemon, raspberry, red velvet and more on request.
Macason have a minimum order quantity of 12 and are available in a number of flavours including vanilla, chocolate, lemon, raspberry, mocha, coffee and more on request.
Design
Our products are all handmade and are therefore individual. We will do our best to match designs and colours but there may be some variance. We cannot guarantee to exactly produce the same items ordered from a picture/photo from other bakers as we feel this is an infringement on their own creativity. Our designs will be an interpretation of their work.
We reserve the right to use our judgement when creating and designing your order, and we may need to adjust your order accordingly. In the event of this happening, we will endeavour to advise you in advance.
Orders
Orders are accepted via website, telephone, email, Instagram and Facebook. An invoice will be sent with payment options. We require 14 days notice, although if space is available in our schedule, we may take orders with 72 hours’ notice.
Payment
Orders must be paid in full when placing your order, with the exception of custom orders costing more than $350, where a 50% deposit is required to secure your booking, and the remaining balance is to be 14 days before delivery.
Bank transfer, or credit card payments are accepted. Please note, if paying by bank transfer for your final payment, this must be made 2 days prior to the due date to allow for the funds to clear.
Amendments
Any amendments from you, the customer, to your order, must be confirmed via email/writing as soon as possible and may be subject to an additional charge if extra work is required. We will do our best to accommodate last-minute changes, but this cannot be guaranteed.
Cancellation
For occasion cake/cupcakes/cookies/sweet treats:
In the event of cancellation, work already completed is still chargeable. All deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations made 72 hours before delivery/pick-up date receive no refund.
For wedding cakes, there is a strict cancellation schedule:
1 Month+ from the wedding date, a full refund less booking fee ($150)
2-4 weeks out, 50% refund (excluding booking fee)
Less than 2 weeks out - No refund.
Delivery
Local delivery within Kāpiti and Horowhenua is available for a small additional charge. Once your order has been delivered we cannot be held responsible for any accidental damage that may occur. If possible, we will help repair any damage, but this will incur extra costs for time and materials used.
We will endeavour to have your goods delivered by the set time and date agreed upon, however in the event of unforeseen circumstances (including, but not limited to, unsafe weather conditions, road closures, delays due to travel incidents etc) your orders will be delivered at the earliest possible time. No refund will be available in such events.
Publication
We reserve the right to use photos of all items made by Iced Queen Cakery in any form of media.
COVID-19
We will operate in accordance with government standards. We will not be operating at levels 4 and 3. If you have an order booked during Level 4 and 3, a credit note and re-schedule of booking will be offered. You will be given priority of booking date choice once we return to level 2.
During Level 2, all deliveries will be made contactlessly. In the event of a Level 2 delivery, we will contact you without delivery protocol.
At Level 1 we will operate as normal.
Acceptance
By placing an order with Iced Queen Cakery and paying your deposit/invoice you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
