1) Unakoti: Located amidst lush green forest in North Tripura unakoti is a historical Shiva pilgrimage. The spot dates back to somewhere between 7th to 10th century A. D. 2) Neer Mahal which was the former Royal Palace in South Tripura. It is situated in the middle of Rudrasagar lake . Neer Mahal is a water Palace.
3) Chhabimura of South Tripura. A portion of the Debotamura Hill range, Chhabimura is famous for the boat ride on Gomati river.
4) Jampui Hills which are located in northeast Tripura bordering the state of Mizoram.
5) Dumboor lake.

The Campus:
The campus of the University is located about 23 km away from the Agartala Airport, 10 km from Agartala City Centre and 5 km from Agartala Railway Station located towards the south. The university office, presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, all the departments; library and the Guest house are all located in the campus. Having come into existence as a Central University, a great deal of development work is underway, and within the next few years, there will emerge a very extensive and well organized campus.
Transport and Communication:
The state is well connected with Silchar, Shillong and Gauhati by road (both Non-AC and AC buses). A daily bus service (AC only) from Kolkata to Agartala is also available for which a transit visa is required. Agartala is also directly connected with Gauhati, Kolkata, Delhi, Ahmadabad, Mumbai and Chennai by air. Available flights for Agartala are Air India, Indigo, Jet Airways, Jetlite and Spice Jet. For Air travel, an advance booking (about 3 months before the date of journey) is recommended to avail maximum discounted fare.
Railway communication is available between Agartala and several cities of India.

Tripura University is Located at a distance of 11 km from the Agartala city centre. The distance from airport to the university is about 20 km and Agartala Railway station is 3.5 km from the University.
