About the Conference

"The more complex the world becomes, the more creative we need to be to meet its challenges"

- Sir Ken Robinson in the book ‘Out of Our Minds’

The organized system of learning is undergoing tremendous change with the changing family structure, advancement in technology and globalisation and schools are becoming places of competition concentrating on academic performance more than learning outcomes across the globe. Competency based learning is taking back seat in the predominance of content learning in the name of excellence in education to function in the competitive world. Hence “Skills required for 21st century” has become an integral part of educational thinking and planning. In this backdrop there is a need to respond to the change and uphold resilience for effective functioning in the system. Educational functionaries are expected to understand the transformation in the education system and reorient themselves to address the changing paradigm of learning. In order to do so there is a need to deliberate, discuss and evolve ways and means of transforming the practices in schools that serve humanity. This process of mutual sharing is inbuilt besides prudent opportunity for individual participants to update and develop professional capacity to facilitate progress in the system. To equip teacher educators and teachers with necessary skills and knowledge and to engage themselves in the present context with confidence an international conference has been planned.
