Dance Costume Pick-Up Instructions
All dance costumes will be available for pick-up at ICE STUDIOS SCHOOL OF DANCE during your child’s class time. ICE STUDIOS will begin distributing costumes after March 7. Please note that some costumes may not be ready until April.
Pick-Up Procedure:
• Parents of Students Ages 9 and Under: Please sign out your child’s costume in person.
• Students Ages 10 and Older: Students may sign out their own costumes.
• You will receive a notification when costumes are ready to be sent home.
Authorized Pick-Up:
If someone else will be picking up the costumes on your behalf, you must provide written consent and the identification of the authorized representative.
Alternative Pick-Up Arrangements:
If you are unable to pick up your costumes during your child’s class, please inform the studio in advance to arrange an alternative pick-up time.
Payment Requirements:
• All outstanding balances must be paid in full by March 5 before any costumes will be released. (This includes class fees.)
• Costumes will not be distributed to students with unpaid balances.
Costume Inspection:
• Please inspect all costumes carefully upon pick-up to ensure that all items are accounted for and that there are no defects or damages.
• Any defects or damages must be reported to the studio within 48 hours. The studio will make every effort to rectify the situation as quickly as possible.
• If a costume is out of stock, we will do our best to find a similar costume to match those worn by the other students in the class.
Abandoned Costumes:
• Costumes not picked up within two weeks after the recital will be considered abandoned. The studio reserves the right to dispose of abandoned costumes as it sees fit.
• No refunds will be given for abandoned costumes.
Liability Disclaimer:
The studio is not responsible for any loss or damage to costumes after they have been released to the customer or their authorized representative.
Alterations and Adjustments:
• At this time, we are unable to return or exchange costumes.
• If a student has outgrown a costume or if the costume is too big, please make arrangements with a seamstress for adjustments.
• We did our best to select the most suitable size for your child.
By picking up the costumes, the customer or their authorized representative agrees to comply with all of the studio’s policies and procedures regarding the use, care, and return of the costumes.
A detailed class-by-class costume checklist will be emailed in April with specific information about what your child needs to bring and wear for each routine.
Please review that email carefully when it is sent.
• Students must arrive in their first dance costume.
• The recital shirt should be worn over the costume unless instructed otherwise.
If your child is in multiple classes:
• Place additional costumes in a labeled garment bag.
• We strongly recommend investing in a rolling garment rack or rolling garment bag with stand to keep costumes organized and off the floor backstage.
