Parashar lake

Parashar Lake is a freshwater lake located at an altitude of 2,730 meters. It has a three-story pagoda-like temple dedicated to the sage Parashar situated on its bank. It contains a floating island inside it. Parashar is known for Parashar Lake, sloppy meadows, dense forests, and the panoramic view of the snow-clad ranges of Dhauladhar.

Barot valley

Shikari devi

Towering over the region, Shikari Devi, at an altitude of 3359 meters, is known as the "crown of Mandi." It is the highest peak in the district. While the surrounding areas receive a lot of snow, miraculously, the wind movement keeps the peak dry even in deep winter. With a mystical aura and splendid panorama, Shikari Devi peak is topped by a roofless temple dedicated to a goddess. This Shikari Devi peak is 107.4 km away from IIT Mandi.

Atal Tunnel

Atal Tunnel was officially certified by the World Book of Records as the "World’s Longest Highway Tunnel Above 10,000 Feet" during a landmark ceremony on February 9, 2022, in New Delhi. Rewalsar is an important religious places for Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists alike. The natural lake at Rewalsar is famous for its floating reed islands and fishes. Hindu, Buddhist and Sikh shrines exist along the periphery of Lake. Legend has it that the great teacher and scholar Padmasambhava used his enormous powers to take flight to Tibet from Rewalsar. It is believed that tiny islands of floating reed in Rewalser Lake have the spirit of Padamasabhava embodied in it.
