Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), a Central University in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, draws its identity from the 18th-century Satnami Saint, Guru Ghasidas. The university is deeply committed to his legacy, aiming to foster social justice, equality, and transformative learning across its diverse student body. GGV’s commitment to quality education is reflected in its high standing, holding the A++ accreditation from NAAC and maintaining strong rankings, including a notable position in the NIRF Ranking, QS Ranking, THE Ranking and the UI-Green Metric World University Ranking.
GGV supports a robust research ecosystem contributing to global knowledge, evidenced by an H-index of 80+, over 252 patents, and active research supporting all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The sprawling 650+ acre campus houses 11 Schools and 32 Departments, alongside advanced infrastructure such as a 3.0 MV Particle Accelerator-enabled National Centre and numerous MoUs.
