About the conference 

The conference aims at bringing the eminent Number Theorists worldwide in the domain of Algebraic Number Theory and young scholars from the country on a common platform to project their work, and foster collaborations to further the development of Mathematical Research. The first three editions were held at Harish-Chandra Research Institute, Prayag Raj. In 2021, ICCGNFRT was moved to Kerala School of Mathematics (KSoM), Kerala, and three successive editions were held there. The seventh edition of ICCGNFRT will be held at IISER Berhampur from 20th to 24th of November, 2024. 

The areas of particular interest include: Ideal class groups of number fields (algebraic, analytic and computational aspects), Relative class numbers of number fields, Annihilators of class groups, Class field theory, Picard groups, Selmer groups, Diophantine equations, Elliptic curves, Iwasawa Theory, Modular forms and related topics. The conference will have about 25 invited talks and about 15 Young Scholars’ talks on the current problems and techniques of these subjects.

In keeping with the tradition, ICCGNFRT-2024 will also host a handful of Ph.D. scholars and Post doctoral fellows and provide them with opportunities to present their research in front of experts.

The conference has received generous support from Commission for Developing Countries (CDC), International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) and National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM).
