Pingle Government College for Women, Hanumakonda (is also known as Hanamkonda) is an Autonomous College recognised by UGC, Government of India and reaccredited by NAAC with 'A' grade was established to cater the educational needs of Women. In those days when the opportunities for women to pursue higher education were scarce in Warangal, the elite of the historical city felt the need for an educational institution exclusively for women. It is because of the generous donation of their ancestral building and place by the Pingle family, Pingle Government College for Women was established on 16-08- 1965 in the pastoral surroundings of Waddepally, Warangal. The institution caters to women's education. In a campus area of four acres, with two security personnel round the clock, college provides adequate security to the students. With modest strength of 67 students and 11 teaching faculty members, in the year 1965, the college today has strength of about 2000 students and 70 sanctioned teaching faculty. College celebrated its Silver Jubilee in the year 1991 and Golden Jubilee in the year 2015. It has strong alumnae and settled all over the world in various fields as industry leaders, political leaders, Scientists, Academicians etc.

It has state of the art facilities like Digital Library, Science & Computer labs, a Research Center with advanced equipment, smart class rooms, a newly constructed auditorium etc.
