The candidates to the awards have been nominated by the session organizers. The International Advisory Board of ICCA13 requested two subcommittees to assess the various nominations.

Committee 1 composed by  Anthony Lasenby (University of Cambridge, Cambridge, UK) and Pierre-Philippe Dechant (University of Leeds, Leeds, UK) with additional support by Eckhard Hitzer (International Christian University, Tokyo, Japan) compared and evaluated all nominations in the area of Physics and Technological Applications (including all of Robotics, Engineering, Signal processing, Computer science, etc.).

Committee 2 composed by Uwe Kähler (University of Aveiro, Aveiro, Portugal) and Irene Sabadini (Politecnico di Milano, Milano, Italy)  compared and evaluated all nominations in the area of Complex Analysis, its generalizations also to several variables and to differential aspects, Clifford Analysis.

The recommendation of the two candidates Ms. Ekaterina Filimoshina and Mr. David G. Sykes have been accepted by the Steering Committee of ICCA 2023 (represented by Rafal Ablamowicz, Tennessee Technological University, Cookeville, USA; Pierre-Philippe Dechant, University of Leeds, Leeds, UK; Eckhard Hitzer, International Christian University, Tokyo, Japan; Uwe Kähler, University of Aveiro, Portugal; Nikolay Marchuk, Russian Academy of Science, Russia; Irene Sabadini, Politecnico di Milano, Italy).
