About GCEM
The Gopalan College of Engineering and Management (GCEM) is an institute that provides quality education in a diverse and multicultural environment. GCEM is accredited by the AICTE, New Delhi, and is affiliated to VTU, Belagavi, Karnataka. The college has been accredited by NAAC and also awarded ISO certificate 9001:2015 testifying to its very high standard infrastructure facilities including LABs, library, Hi-Tech Skill labs, excellent faculty, training, research, and placement. The institute supports students in their overall development through both curricular and co-curricular activities. GCEM offers the following UG courses along with four R&D centers (CSE, ECE, CE & ME) approved by VTU.

About the Department
The CSE Department was started in the year 2010. The Department is highly progressive and has a team of well-qualified, experienced, and dedicated faculty. The Department has well-equipped computer laboratories, and an R&D Center approved by VTU. The department offers value-added courses and placement training to the students which assists for placements. The Department's Vision is to achieve excellent standards in learning by imparting quality education with extensive research work in computer science and engineering to meet industrial and societal needs. The department offers both UG and PhD programs in CSE.
