The International Conference for Advanced Editorial Professionals seeks to foster an environment in which all attendees can freely exchange ideas, ask questions, and learn from each other. This means that we ask all participants to abide by a code of conduct to ensure that the event is a welcoming and respectful experience for all. If a participant refuses to abide by this code of conduct, we reserve the right to ask them to leave the conference and to take other necessary steps to ensure the well-being of everyone involved. We cannot refund the registration fee to those who breach the code of conduct.
We ask participants to abide by the following:
To abide by the regulations of the building in which the event is held, to follow the instructions of the event organizers and the people working in the building, and to be courteous to and thoughtful of the people working there
To value a diversity of opinions and views, critiquing ideas and not the people who espouse them
To not film sessions
To behave in a professional manner at all times
To treat all attendees with respect and kindness
To refrain from harassing others, including by commenting offensively on their gender, disability, race, sexual orientation, religion, or physical appearance; engaging in inappropriate physical contact; and displaying sexual images or sexual attention
To not deliberately stalk others, follow them in person, or intimidate them
To not disrupt sessions and other events on purpose
To refrain from making offensive or degrading comments
Registration is CA$295, including coffee breaks and lunches. No refunds will be given for cancellations. If the conference is cancelled by the organizers for reasons other than force majeure (e.g. war or conflict), all registration fees will be refunded in full. We are not responsible for travel or accommodation costs.
Submitting an application does not reserve a place. Places are limited to 44 attendees, including speakers, and are confirmed only once you have been accepted the invitation and have paid the registration fee.
