SKYLINE IB PROGRAM OVERVIEW: Skyline holds two IB Information Nights in January of each year. If you missed this year's meetings, you can learn more about Skyline IB by viewing the blue slideshow linked below and perusing the other pages on this website. Skyline's IB Diploma Program is inclusive and doesn't require an entrance exam. General information about the International Baccalaureate Program is also available here: https://ibo.org/
OPEN ENROLLMENT: The open enrollment application for the 2024/2025 school year is available through the Open Enrollment tab on Skyline's homepage. Interested students are encouraged to apply promptly and are admitted on a first-come-first-served basis.
IB DIPLOMA PROGRAM ENROLLMENT FOR 2024/2025: Our IB Program is open to all students admitted to Skyline. Students interested in pursuing the IB Diploma MUST complete our Skyline IB Diploma Application.

International Baccalaureate Information
The International Baccalaureate (IB) is an internationally recognized, highly acclaimed, college preparatory program. It teaches students to be knowledgeable, well-rounded, caring, critical thinkers, balanced, and reflective. Whether a student decides to stay in-state or attend an out-of-state college, the IB program will nurture the skills necessary to be successful at a four-year college.
If you are a hard-working, self-motivated 8th or 9th-grade student interested in a well-rounded, rigorous college preparation education, the IB program may be a good match for you. Students can expect to work hard and have challenging academic schedules throughout high school, yet most students are highly involved in outside extra-curricular activities and still have plenty of time for an active, meaningful social life. Most IB graduates say the best thing about the IB program was the friends they made in the program.
Colleges value Skyline IB students because they demonstrate qualities of critical thinking, problem solving, and reflection and are very prepared to handle the course rigor at top universities around the country and world. Skyline IB Diploma students have been admitted to a variety of in-state and out-of-state schools such as Stanford, Harvard, Yale, MIT, Johns Hopkins, Brown, Washington University in St. Louis, University of Puget Sound, BYU, University of Utah, University California Berkeley, etc. Furthermore, nearly all IB Diploma students who have applied to the University of Utah have received substantial merit-based scholarships. The University of Utah award students who have earned an IB Diploma university credits for qualifying IB classes in addition to qualifying AP credits which they may have earned throughout high school.

Pre-IB Sophomores, Class of 2026: 87 students
Pre-IB Freshmen, Class of 2027: 74 students
Freshmen (Class of 2027)
Attend Pre-IB lunch meetings once each term to orient students to IB, mingle with upperclassmen IB Ambassadors, and review skills for high school success.
Your Pre-IB Coordinator is Ms. Rector, and your IB Counselor is Ms. Wheeler.
Sophomores (Class of 2026)
Attend Pre-IB lunch meetings once a term to continue IB Orientation with IB Ambassadors as well as preview and plan next year's scheduling options.
Your Pre-IB Coordinator is Ms. Rector, and your IB Counselor is Ms. White.
Juniors (Class of 2025)
Attend IB meetings in English class and at lunch. Set CAS goals and complete CAS Plan requirements each term. Register for May 2024 IB Exams.
Ms. Thackeray is your IB Coordinator, and Ms. White is your IB Counselor. Ms. Morgan is your CAS Coordinator.
Seniors (Class of 2024)
Attend IB meetings in English class and at lunch. Set CAS goals and complete CAS Plan requirements each term. Complete CAS Project. Register for May 2024 IB Exams. Check Graduation Requirements with Ms. White.
