A little about Melissa Powers

        I've been in education for 24 years. I taught 4th grade for 4 years before moving to Arizona, and started as a classroom teacher at Simis, teaching grades 3 and 4. This is my 20th year at Madison Simis and my 13th year as IB Coordinator. I have a BA in Education from Wheaton College, IL, and an MA in School Counseling from Northern Arizona University. I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling. I've even climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania! Feel free to contact me with any questions about our wonderful IB program at Madison Simis!
