Exploring as a performer
You will explore different stimuli for composing or improvising throughout the course.
You will submit ONE performance as an audio file which should stem from one of the Areas of Inquiry which should be different one to the one chosen for Creating. (2 minutes)
throughout the course you will engage in practical exercises to help you become familiar with music from local and global contexts and adapting them for your own instrument or voice.
It is recommended that the music chosen should be for a different instrument/voice than your own.
The adaptations will be performed by you and:
based on the findings of performing conventions and practices
based on stimulus music from local or global contexts
adapted for the students’ own instruments, voices or chosen medium

notes of the stylistic conventions explored and how these link to the Areas of Inquiry
practice, progress and goal setting
