The Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA), the premier scientific organization in the country, has been working towards the advancement and promotion of science in India since 1914. It has been organizing an annual congress of scientists and popular science lectures in different centre's in India through ISCA chapters. One of the major objectives of ISCA is to inculcate the scientific temper among people and to encourage young scientists. ISCA Jammu Chapter is organizing a two day National Conference in collaboration with Maulana Azad Memorial College Jammu on the theme “Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for Sustainable Future” from 27 - 28 February 2022. The objective of the conference is to provide a common platform for scientists, academicians, engineers, technologists and those with a passion for science for sharing knowledge and innovations.

Maulana Azad Memorial College: The college started as the erstwhile Prince of Wales College on 23 April 1907. After the Independence of the country, the college was renamed as Govt. Gandhi Memorial College, Jammu on 4 June 1948. To meet the need of growing number of students, this college was bifurcated into Arts and Science Colleges on 20 September 1954. Govt. Gandhi Memorial Arts College was shifted to its new premises on 23 September 1960 and was renamed as Maulana Azad Memorial College in the memory of the first education minister of the country Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. The college was affiliated to the University of Jammu till 2016. At present, it is a constituent college of the Cluster University of Jammu and accredited by NAAC with B+ Grade in 2012.

The Government Degree College (GDC) Ukhral is a State Government institute situated in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir. It was established in year 2019 under the affiliation of University of Jammu. The College is located at village Panchal, having a very beautiful area surrounded by high mountains at a distance of 155 km from Jammu.

As the global community continues to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, issues of sustainability and development remain as critical to wellbeing as ever. Indeed, the experience of the pandemic only brings home how progress on such sustainability and development goals as ecosystem conservation, greater equality and justice, stronger institutions, and transformative actions are necessary to improve our common future. This virtual gathering will capitalize on the enhanced ability to connect global colleagues and aims to revive, establish, and sustain knowledge production, sharing, and collaboration around science, sustainability and development.

This conference aims to bring together innovators, academia, industry, researchers and scholars to exchange information and share experiences and research results about all aspects of specialized and interdisciplinary fields. This event provides an opportunity for all to network, share ideas, and present their research to a worldwide community. Discussion on the latest innovations, trends and practical concerns, and challenges contributing toward sustainable development in all these fields are also encouraged.

The objective of the IAST-SF 2022 (organized by ISCA Jammu Chapter in association with MAM College Jammu) is to create knowledge and understanding through science that equips us to find solutions to today’s acute economic, social and environmental challenges and to achieve sustainable development and greener societies. This two-day National conference IAST-SF 2022 provides a timely opportunity to researchers, delegates and scholars from all disciplines and give them an incredible chance to interact with each other and share their experience and knowledge of technology application.
