CALL FOR ABSTRACTS and Guidelines

The 44^th Annual Conference of the Indian Association of Pediatric Surgeons - IAPSCON 2018 is to be held at PGIMER Chandigarh, between 25^th -28^th October 2018. The scientific committee invites delegates who wish to give presentations during the conference to submit abstracts as per the following guidelines.

The papers for the various awards will be selected on merit, irrespective of the category applied for.

The decision of the selection committee would be final.

1. IAPS - UC Chakraborty Award : For the “IAPS - UC Chakraborty Award - 2018” - soft copy of the full manuscript should be submitted along with the abstract form.

2. The papers presented in the first urology session will be automatically considered for the IAPS-Swapna Dutta Award

3. The Papers presented in the first Gastro-enterology session will be automatically considered for the IAPS - KK Sharma Award

4. Mode of Submission: The Abstracts must be submitted online at www.iapsonline.org or www.iapscon2018.com before the last date of 31st July 2018.

5. Format for Abstract Submission:

I) Abstracts should be written as “Aims, Methods, Results and Conclusion”

II) Abstracts should be submitted as per the format given in the website. A blind abstract file without the details of the presenter or the institution (Format provided) can be uploaded through the online system.

III) The maximum number of words used in the abstracts should be 200 words.

6. Only online abstracts will be considered for the presentation. Please submit the abstracts through IAPS website or conference website as given above.

7. After the last date of abstract submission the form will stop taking submissions so be aware of the deadline. email abstracts are not acceptable.

8. Selection Criteria: The abstracts received will be scrutinized and selected by the selection committee. The decision of the selection committee would be final.

9. For Video Presentations, kindly upload the video on your google drive and mention the link in the abstract. Make sure that the link is shared with agarwalprakash67@gmail.com

10. Declaration: Please make a declaration whether the abstract has been previously published or presented at another scientific meeting.

11. Status of the presenter : The presenter should be a member of the IAPS

12. Please mention the TYPE in which the paper should be considered

I) Long Oral Presentation : 5 + 2 minutes

II) Short Oral Presentation : 3 + 1 minutes

III) Video Presentation : 5 + 2 minutes

IV) Poster presentation

V) E poster

13. Please mention the CATEGORY of the subject

II) UROLOGY

III) LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY

IV) THORACIC SURGERY

V) EXPERIMENTAL

VI) VIDEO SESSION
