Welcome! I am a Ph.D. student and teaching assistant in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Kentucky. If you happen to be one of my students and you're looking for information regarding office hours, appointments, or anything else class related, please click here.
I earned my B.S. in Mathematics from Murray State University, where I also studied secondary education and was named a Presidential Fellow. My M.S. in Mathematics was earned at the University of Kentucky. While at UK, I have been named a Max Steckler Fellow and have received graduate summer research fellowships. I have also served in the UK Graduate Student Congress and was given the congressional service award.
My primary mathematical interests include mathematical physics, partial differential equations, and dynamical systems. I have most recently been working on problems in scattering theory. My collaborators and I are currently working on applying Fredholm theory to study the direct problem for the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili I equation. I am also an advisor for undergraduate research through the University of Kentucky Mathematics Lab, where my students are investigating coupled matrix population models.
