Photo Concepts and Design introduces photography as a structured creative discipline that combines visual thinking with technical practice. The course emphasizes observation, experimentation, and image composition as essential tools for visual communication. Through guided activities, students explore how photographic techniques can be used intentionally to express ideas and document their environment.
Skills and Focus Areas
Throughout the course, I developed foundational photographic skills including composition, lighting control, exposure management, and visual storytelling. These areas encouraged me to approach image-making with purpose and awareness. Each exercise strengthened my ability to analyze scenes, experiment with techniques, and apply creative decisions effectively.
