Islamic Academy of Markham will:

• Integrate Islamic Teachings 

• Teach Islamic Curriculum by Grade Level

Integrating Islamic Teachings:

Students will learn about Islam by integrating Islamic teachings into their daily routine and subject programming. Here are some examples:

• Students will learn about the pillars of Islam and their role in a Muslim’s daily life.  

• They will learn how to pray and the importance of saying words like “bismillah”, “alhamdulillah”, etc. 

• Importance of building good character and manners.  

• Students will learn duas and stories about the Prophets.  

• Our programming will incorporate Islamic literature and topics. Eg. read aloud with Islamic picture books.

• Through an Islamic environment, students will establish positive feelings towards Islam and feel encouraged to implement these values in their lives.
