By Local Bus
The Hachikō-go city loop bus connects Ōdate Station with the Ōdate City Hall area. However, the 8:00 a.m. service is not available on Saturdays, Sundays, or public holidays. Therefore, it is not suitable for reaching the meeting point by 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, 3 October 2026. Participants are advised to take a taxi or walk.

First Artificial Habitat for the Japanese Crayfish
First Artificial Habitat for the Japanese Crayfish
In November 2019, the first artificial habitat for the Japanese crayfish (Cambaroides japonicus) in Ōdate City was established. Two population surveys conducted in the following year recorded approximately 30 individuals on each occasion.
These individuals are believed to have naturally colonized the artificial habitat from nearby habitats.
Approximately 30 individuals continued to be recorded annually through fiscal year 2022, indicating that suitable habitat conditions have been successfully maintained.
