Yes! I2MC is hosted in-person. This year it will be hosted at Interlake High School on October 24th. Visit the Venue section for more information.

When signing up for the competition, teams have the option of requesting pizza, which we will provide for free. Otherwise, Interlake is close to Crossroads mall and other food options.

I2MC costs $5 per person. This money is used to cover costs such as building use fees, materials, and award costs. If this poses a barrier to your participation, please contact us at interlakemathclub@gmail.com.
Can I register with people from a different school?
Can I register with people from a different school?
Kind of. Teams consisting of members from more than one school are allowed to participate, but they will not be eligible for recognition or team awards, nor will they be represented in any statistics. However, members of these teams are still eligible for individual awards.
What is the difficulty of I2MC?

Problems will have a wide range of difficulty, from AMC 8 to mid-AIME, so there will be something for everyone! Don't worry if you can't solve all the problems, they're meant to be a fun exploration in mathematics. To get a feel for the test difficulty, check out our more recent tests in the Past Tests page.

Parents are free to stay in the Interlake commons (the lunchroom) throughout the competition. There will be tables set up for them to stay in.

Make sure to bring writing utensils and CASH to pay the $5 registration fee. Pizza will be provided at dinner, but you're free to bring your own food as well. You will not need a calculator at I2MC.

Can elementary schoolers participate in I2MC?
Yes. Elementary schoolers will compete in the 6th grade division. However, ensure they are suited for the difficulty level of the competition.
