I-REC: International Research Ethics Consultation assists in the organization of capacity building activities in clinical research ethics worldwide. We also consult on ethical issues that arise in multi-center and international clinical research.

Reidar K. Lie, MD, PhD, is the sole proprietor of I-REC, but will draw on a large network of collaborators, in particular in Asian countries.  He is professor emeritus from the University of Bergen, Norway, has worked for a decade at the Department of Bioethics, NIH, and consulted with international organizations, such as the World Bank and the World Health Organization.
