I have recently purchased a qi charger for my desk at work for my s8. I normally have my phone on vibrate and have noticed that I am missing calls when charging it.

I was wondering if it is possible to change phone settings so that when it is on charge the volume is loud and when not on charge it is on vibrate?

My phone has been acting weird for some time now, months. It started with the text icon showing I had 1 text, always, when I dont have a new one and also it showed the same text I had last over and over in the widget bubble. It still does the widget bubble but not the text number anymore unless there is a real text there. I think I deleted something Go SMS or something to help with that...anyways now all of my contacts are gone...and I cant get fb to sync, i click on syn now and it does nothing under settings. Im unhappy with the way my phone is performing as a whole. In addition when I plug it in, and yes its the charger it came with BUT now that I think about it recently I did use someones charger thinking if it fits and charges then its ok...now what? I cant take the battery out unless i unscrew things? Isnt that bad for my phone??? My ringer is all messed up...I deleted all apps thinking it was a bug/app problem. Still happened so I added them back... HELP!:)

You could try booting into recovery and clearing cache and dalvik cache. If that doesn't work, you could try a factory reset (that usually fixes everything, lol). You will have to set up your phone again.

Dear people,

after years using a FP1, it is dying. Due to some problems I want to rescue some photos, and apps. Specially I would like to rescue and transfer the clock and ringtones from FP1 to a non-FP-Phone. Do you have an idea how to do this?

When you are holding the phone, there is a button on the right side, toward the top. It has an icon of a speaker on it. When you press that button, you will see a speaker icon on the top right of the screen near the battery indicator. Now, place the phone in the desktop charger. From this point on, when it is put into the desktop charger, that same icon should appear, and when it is removed, it should disappear. Why is doesn't work until the first time that you press this button??? Go figure. I'm guessing a bug.

Does your phone charge? Occasionally when you disconnect the battery you can accidentally disconnect the charging/dock connector flex. If this isn't connected properly your loud speaker won't work as well. Your loud speaker makes contact with two contacts on your charging/dock connector. I'd double check your charging port connection.

actually the phone is charging . . and I already tried the usual methods of blasting air into the speaker, connect with earphone, shut down, restart etc. . . connecting via bluetooth to external speakers is ok . .internal micros are ok, means I can answer the call normally and speak and listen normally.

Volume: Set the volume level for call ringtones, notifications, media, and system sounds. To find this, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick settings panel, and then tap the Settings icon. Tap Sounds and vibration, and then tap Volume. Then, drag the sliders for each sound type.

Ringtone: Customize your call ringtone by choosing from preset sounds or adding your own. To find this, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick settings panel, and then tap the Settings icon. Tap Sounds and vibration, and then tap Ringtone. You can also assign ringtones to specific contacts by opening the Contacts app, then tapping a contact, and then tapping Edit. Tap View more, and then tap Ringtone. Now just tap a ringtone to hear a preview and select it, or tap Add (the plus sign) to use an audio file as a ringtone.

System sound: Choose a sound theme to use for touch interactions, charging, changing the sound mode, Samsung Keyboard, and more. To find this, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick settings panel, and then tap the Settings icon. Tap Sounds and vibration, and then tap System sound. Select an available sound.

Alert when phone picked up: Set the device to notify you about missed calls and messages by vibrating when you pick it up. To find this, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick settings panel, and then tap the Settings icon. Tap Advanced features, and then tap Motions and gestures. Tap the switch next to Alert when phone picked up to turn it on.

Note: This is not available on tablets.

I have added a new ringtone to the ringtones list in Settings->Sounds->Phone ringtone>Add ringtone. After that I can see the same ringtone file in Ringtones folder of Internal storage. I need to remove this ringtone? For that I have deleted that file from folder. But, the ringtone is still running there. How to remove it.

Instead, do a search for the ringtone or sound effect you added using the Files app (comes with Android), then erase it. It'll be removed from the ringtone selection menu without erasing all the other sound files.

This is tried on an Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 running Android 9. Inspired by Joao's answer I didn't use the Files app, but connected the phone to a PC using USB cable in file transfer mode, and then used Windows Explorer search to find the file.

On an Android phone, the process is very similar. Go to Settings and then tap on Sounds and vibration. Tap on Ringtone or Phone Ringtone and choose from the preset choices. When you touch your choice, the circle next to your choice will be filled in. Then tap Save.

And a legal warning: You can find many tutorials online on how to turn your iTunes music into a ringtone. It surely can be done. But as unfair as it seems, it might not be legal. Because of copyright laws, even if you already own a song, you must buy it again to turn it into a ringtone, according to an answer on an Apple-controlled message board.

There are three methods you could use to change your iPhone charging sound. You can choose to use a whole song, a part of a song, or use text that Siri will say every time you charge your iPhone. These tips work whether you charge your iPhone wirelessly or not.

Before we begin, it's important to note that you cannot literally change your iPhone's charging sound. The new sound would be more of a supplement that will play after the default sound does. However, if you continue reading, we'll show you how to mute the default sound so that all you hear when you plug and unplug your phone is your custom sound.

To change the charging sound on iOS, you'll need to use the built-in Shortcuts app. There are many handy iPhone automations you can create in the Shortcuts app. Changing the plug-in sound of your iPhone is just one of them.

If you don't want to change your iPhone charging sound to a full song, you can use a short audio clip instead. It can be one to three seconds long, but it has to be in a format that Apple can read, such as MP3, AIFF, or WAV.

Just take note that you may have to convert a file from MP4 to MP3 or any other suitable format before you can use it for your iPhone's charging sound. After you've downloaded the audio clip or sound effect that you want:

To turn off the charging sound, you would have to put your iPhone in Silent Mode. Simply use the switch on the left side of your iPhone to do this. If the switch shows orange, it means your iPhone is in Silent Mode and will only vibrate when it is plugged in before playing your custom charging sound.

Also, if you get rid of the charging chime, you'll still be left with a buzz or vibration when it's plugged in. If you don't want that, you can turn it off as well. Simply go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics. Scroll to the bottom of the list and turn off System Haptics.

iOS has a lot to offer in terms of features that allow you to make your iPhone unique. Changing the charging sound on your iPhone is a fun little tweak, but you can also make changes to other parts of your iPhone, such as the Home Screen, the widgets displayed, and more!

The Shortcuts app allows you to run customized actions in the background, and its "Automation" feature is the one we'll be using to create a new tone, chime, song, or sound effect for when you start charging your iPhone with a wired or wireless charger. You can also make the sound the same or something entirely different for when you stop charging. The new part in iOS 14 is the automation option to set an action for charging. 17dc91bb1f
