Hereford Zone Robotics
About
The program is available to all Hereford Middle and High school students, also even to the Elementary students (that attend Sparks Elementary). The robotics program is where every Tuesday and Thursday we meet and build as well as program robots. We have a lot of different things to do in robotics. Some include journalism, building the robot, programming the robot, doing online challenges like this, and even more. We also compete in competitions often that is why we build the robots and it's how we know how to build our robots. We also form teams to do these tasks.
Why?
We do robotics for several reasons, one reason is because its a lot of fun to compete. Another reason is because its a good learning experience, we learn to work with others, program, build a robot, and more important skills to be an engineer. Also it's a nice social experience as the teams and the people in them have to work together.
The Beginning of the robotics organization
Vex VRC started in 2007 with the competition "Bridge Battle". It was charmingly simple. Vex VRC comtinued making Competitions up until today, with the newest competition "Tower Takeover". Things have gotten a lot more complicated, encouraging more complex robot designs and more intricate plans.
The Future of the robotics organization
We believe that with time the games will become better and more complicated. We are also excited for the future of robotics hardware, as V5 is already very good and we are excited for it to get better. Also, we are hoping that more students will be able to participate in our club to have a great time, build robots, and even program!
How to get Involved
Want do you get involved in our program? You can donate to our club which helps our teams to compete at local competitions, State Competitions, and even for Worlds.
