FRQ is developed and published by HzLAB.
This Privacy Policy explains how FRQ handles information when you use the app.
1. Overview
FRQ is a sound-based listening app designed for focus, relaxation, meditation, and ambient sound exploration. The app provides binaural beats, isochronic tones, pink-noise ambience, timer controls, visual frequency feedback, and colour-customisable interface settings.
FRQ is not a medical app. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or clinical monitoring.
2. Information we collect
FRQ does not require you to create an account.
FRQ does not directly collect personal information such as your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or health information.
FRQ does not use advertising trackers, analytics trackers, or third-party advertising SDKs.
3. Information stored on your device
FRQ may store app preferences locally on your device so that your settings can be remembered between sessions.
This may include things such as:
- selected colours and visual preferences
- audio settings
- timer settings
- language preferences
- other in-app configuration choices
This information is stored locally on your device and is not sent to HzLAB servers.
4. Google Play purchases and licensing
FRQ is distributed through Google Play.
If you purchase FRQ through Google Play, payment, purchase, and licensing information is handled by Google according to Google’s own privacy policy and terms.
FRQ may use Google Play licensing checks to confirm that the app was obtained through Google Play. HzLAB does not receive your full payment card details or Google account password.
5. Permissions used by FRQ
FRQ may request or use certain Android permissions to support its core audio features.
These may include:
- foreground service permissions, so audio playback can continue reliably while the app is active or backgrounded
- media playback foreground service permissions, for ongoing sound playback
- notification permissions, so Android can show playback-related notifications where required
- wake lock permissions, to help maintain stable playback during listening sessions
- Google Play licensing permission, to support paid app licensing
FRQ does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, SMS messages, or phone call history.
6. Data sharing
FRQ does not sell user data.
FRQ does not share personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
FRQ does not transmit your app preferences to HzLAB servers.
Some information may be processed by Google Play as part of app purchase, licensing, installation, crash reporting, device compatibility, and Play Store services. This is handled by Google under Google’s own policies.
7. Children
FRQ is not designed specifically for children and is not directed at children as its primary audience.
8. Data retention and deletion
Because FRQ does not create user accounts or directly collect personal information, HzLAB does not maintain a user account database for FRQ.
Local app preferences remain on your device until you change them, clear the app’s data, uninstall the app, or reset your device.
You can delete locally stored FRQ data through your device settings by clearing the app’s storage/data or uninstalling the app.
9. Security
FRQ is designed to minimise data collection. App preferences are stored locally on your device using standard Android storage mechanisms.
No method of digital storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but FRQ is designed not to collect or transmit personal information to HzLAB servers.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
