Professor Sohn gave an invited talk at the NOMATECH ICMSN-2024, 8-9 July, 2024, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.  And it also signed MOUs with the Department of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Nano Research Institute of the National University of Mongolia. 

Mr. Akshay S. Patil attended and made an oral presentation titled "Synthesis of UV blocking carbon dots, composite with polyvinyl alcohol film: A novel smart food packaging materials at IUPAC MACRO 2024 50th World Polymer Congress, July 1-4, 2024. in Warwick, England. 

Professor Sohn and Dr. Sim visited and presented at the Polymer Characterization 2024 IUPAC conference at Madrid, Spain from 27-31 May -31, 2024.  

Professor Sohn visited and presented at the National Taiwan University for the Soft Interface Seminar in Taiwan 2004 on March 27.  

Professor Sohn visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and Shenzhen University in China to present the seminar and discuss future research cooperation from January 15-20 2024. 

Prof. Sohn and Dr. Jungju Ryu attended and presented at MRM2023/IUMRS-ICA2023, Kyoto International Conference Center, Kyoto, Japan, on Dec. 11-16, 2023.

Prof. Sohn attended and gave a talk at ICOMF18, Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany. He also visited Max Plank Institut for Polymer Research, Mainz, and KIST-Europe, Saarbrucken, on Aug. 21-30, 2023. 

Prof. Sohn and Dr. Jungju Ryu attended and presented at the ACS San Francisco meeting on Aug. 9-18, 2023. Prof. Sohn also visited Minerva University and discussed the collaboration between HYU and Minerva University.   

Prof. Sohn attended and gave a keynote speech at Chang Gung University for the "2023 MCPST Trilateral Conference on Modern Challenges in Polymer Science and Technology," Jan. 17-18. And prof. Sohn also visited and gave a talk at the National Cheng Kung University, Tainan. 

Prof. Sohn, Dr. Jungju Ryu, and Ms. Hyeyeon Cho attended a mini-symposium with Keiji Tanaka's lab at Kyushu Univesity on Dec. 16, 2022. Prof. Sohn also presented a talk hosted by prof. Higaki at Oita University on Dec. 19, 2022.

Prof. Sohn, Dr. Jungju Ryu, and Mr. Ngoc Quang Nguyen participated in the ACS Fall meeting in Chicago on Aug. 21-25, 2022, and made the presentations. Prof. Sohn visited Georgia Tech., UConn, Stony Brook University, NJCU, and Univ. Wisconsin before and after the ACS meeting.   

Prof. Sohn & Ms. Younhee Jeong visited KIST-Europe, Saarbrücken, Germany, and presented in the 84th Prague Meeting on Macromolecules at the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry CAS, Prague, Czech Republic

Ms. Quyen Vu Tai and Ms. Sooji Park presented on-line, European Nanoanalysis Symposium, European Materials Research Society, Oct. 9, 2020, entitled "A hybrid of reduced graphene oxide grafted with aminefunctionalized NiO/ZnO toward attenuation of electromagnetic waves," and "Synthesis of nano-sized metal organic framework using selectively modified clay nanotube for enhanced gas adsorption properties," respectively. 

Prof. Sohn and a graduate student Jiwon Jeong visited Polymer Institute, Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS), Dubravska cesta 9, Bratislava, Slovakia  on June 26-30, 2019.

Mr. Hoyeon Lee attended CYTO 2019 at Vancouver, Canada on June 24, 2019. Mr. Lee presented a poster, entitled "Possibility of differentiation according to shape difference in flow cytometry."

Jilin Univ. and Hanyang Univ.  Bilateral Symposium was held at Jilin Univ., Changchun, China on May 9-10, 2019. Five profs. from HYU (including prof. Sohn) and five profs. from Jilin Univ. made the presentation.

Mr. Jeongrae Kim & Mr. Ngoc Quang Nguyen attended and presented posters at the Forum of Advanced Functional Fibers at Suzhou Univ. of Science and Technology, China on Agu. 24-31, 2018. "Synthesis of Porous PS/PMMA Microspheres through Pickering Emulsion and γ-ray Radiation," and " Advanced catechol-modified chitosan hydrogels with the  Inducement of Fe3+ and IO4- ions at acidic condition."

SAXS experiment was in NSRRC (National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center), Taiwan, on Aug. 13-16, 2018. Prof. Sohn and Dr. Ryu and Ms. Quyen conducted the experiment on TPS 25A coherent X-ray scattering.  

Mr. Eunseok Jang and prof. Sohn attended CYTO 2018 at Prague, Czech Republic on April 28-May 2, 2018. Mr. Jang presented a poster, "Influence from Anisotropic Particles for Flow Cytometry" and Prof. Sohn gave a invited talk at the Inst. of Macromolecular Chemistry.

Mr. Seongho Lim and prof. Sohn attended 2018 ACS-Spring National Meeting  and gave oral presentations at New Orleans on March 18-22, 2018. Mr. Lim presents the title of "Application of synthesized MOF@halloysite nanotubes on gas adsorption capacity."

Prof. Sohn attended and gave a plenary talk at the Int'l Conf. on Advances in Chemical Sciences (ICACS 2018), Shivaji Univ., Kolhapur, India on Feb. 1, 2018

Ms. Quyen attended 'AONSA school' and 'Neutron & Muon school' at J-Parc, Japan on Nov. 16-20, 2017. The school consist of introductory lectures on neutron & muon sciences, and the applications. And she presented a poster, entitled "Electromagnetic microwave absorber based on graphene/mesoporous magnetic silica particles composites."

Ms. Quyen Vu Thi, attended and presented a poster in IUPAC-FAPS 2017 Polymer Congress, International Convention Center (ICC) Jeju, Korea, Oct. 12, 2017, entitled, "Graphene-polypyrrole/epoxy composites for elimination electromagnetic pollution."

Dr. Hoik Lee and Ms. Sunhye Kim attended and presented posters at GelSympo 2017, Nihon University (Tsudanuma Campus), Chiba, Japan, Mar. 8, 2017, entitled "Self-healing of poly(ethylene oxide) hydrogel film via chain interpenetration" and  "Dual Cross-Linking of Catechol Modified Hyaluronic Acid Hydrogel," respectively. 

Mr. Jeongin Kim attended  'AONSA  Neutron School' at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai, India during November 15-19, 2016. Mr. Kim presents the title of "Characterization of Double Network Hydrogel by Neutron Scattering."
